On Saturday 17th September 2022, we cleaned up Anse Royale Beach with the help of a small group of determined individuals.

We concentrated on the area behind Ole Restaurant where we find that most people gather for an afternoon by the beach. It was not surprising to find plenty of bottle caps and glass bottles there, but what was surprising was the number of household items that were collected; mini freezer, plastic chairs, stools, fence wiring, tent, and iron sheets among other waste. LWMA has a very well-organised landfill where they make it easy for everyone to deposit their household waste, there should be no reason for people to throw away such items on the roadside, let alone the beach, and yet there it was! We collected a total of 196KG of trash, wow!

We are so grateful for each and every volunteer that spent their Saturday morning with us cleaning up Anse Royale Beach, Ceres Clean up Project would not be without them.

Unfortunately, due to the weather we were not able to do the Meditation session with Lucie, we are planning for a separate event, anyone could be part of it, you can email us cerescleanupproject@apex.sc if you would like to join.
Our next Ceres Clean up will be on Copolia Trail, on 22nd of October 2022. We do hope to see our regulars, and some new faces that would join us in this mission. You can register here for the next clean up!
You can also join our whatsapp group to be part of our community, stay up to date with each clean up and offer feedback and suggestions.
Finally, enjoy our picture Gallery of the Clean up! Until next time 🙂
